Welcome to phrack50's Tribute to ESF

Hello and thanks for taking the time to check out my ESF-Fansite. Before going any further, I want to say this is simply a fansite. I had nothing to do with the production of this MOD. Full credit for all the information on this page goes to the ESF Team. Thats right folks, ESF (Earths Special Forces) is a DragonballZ MOD for halflife. So if you wanna play it, you better grab yourself a copy of halflife. You can download the latest version of ESF (Beta 1.2.3) from the link below.

ESF is a Half-life Modication inspired by Dragonball Z. The project has been in development for almost a decade and features a very fast, unique style of gameplay.

Futhermore, if you like super saiyans, power struggles, intense melee battles, playing with people from all over the world online for free, well this game is probably for you.

 

The History of ESF

First of all, I did not found Power-up. I Founded ESF alongside SS Vegeta, Stryker and Harsens.

Powerup .... I joined as a webmaster (hehe) and drug stryker in as a mapper. Soon we got our first modeler, SS Vegeta (yey!).

Several months passed.. We had a Stryker's small cell arena and a corpsish looking vegeta model (thanks to a very newbed out modeler and skinner... ss and myself)

More time passed.... nothing got done

Our leader wasn't mature enough for his responsibilities so SS and Myself decided to leave and change our name.

Thus, ESF was born.

Soon we picked up Harsens (Thank god! a coder!) who started putting our crappy gfx ingame and working on flying and some primitive beams.
Then we picked up Tark who did our original piccolo model.

One day I ran into Pcjoe in an odd way and he eventually began teaching me some skinning tricks. After some Hars coding progress he was persuaded to join up with us :0) At the time he was a mod veteran and taught us a lot of the basics about HL modding

Anyways, now we had a decent sized team going. A lot of trial members were going in and out. Thankfully VT and iG came to our hosting rescue after months without a site. We were back in the public and eventually cranked out alpha 1.5.... yadda yadda yadda
